Hi there! I’m Ann F, the maker behind thrownAF. Everything that you see here is hanndmade by me in Brooklyn, NY.

I started doing ceramics when I was a kid, did the obligatory year of ceramics in high school, by which point I swore off throwing.

I didn’t return to ceramics until the 2021. All my pandemic plants had started outgrowing their pots, and I was going stir-crazy, circling the same apartment every day.

Now, I specialize in making fun, minimalistic, and functional pieces that incorporate different colors, textures, and some of my Chinese-American background (if you’re lucky).
